West Bengal Motion Picture Artists’ Forum will play for in aid of Nepal earthquake victims in Kolkat
n this city of Kolkata, Football is a craze. Here big tournaments are held throughout the year, in which big teams bring in foreign players to play alongside the domestic players, and when these tournaments are played the stadiums are packed with their supporters, cheering their teams.Seldom are any tournaments held for those youngsters who have talent, a dream to perform on larger platforms but do not get the right opportunity nor the scope to present their potentials in presence of a large gathering and in the gracious presence of distinguished guests.
A unique football tournament beginning here on May 20 will see youngsters dribble around in aid of Nepal earthquake victims. Teams of young football players will showcase their skills in the three-day VCN Football Tournament 2015 at the Ram Lila Ground in central Kolkata.
Vision Cable Network in association with West Bengal Motion Picture Artists’ Forum, Alliance Broadband Limited, Advatech Limited, Mon Channel, Iron Truss Decorations, Gales, M.A.S, International Trophies & Co., Kolkata Today, Virtual Communication and Festiivent has taken the initiative to launch the VCN Friendship Cup 2015,, where youngsters would get the opportunity to display their talent for their respective teams and in the presence of distinguished guests from various walks of life who are expected to be
present during the course of the this event.
This tournament is being organised not only to boost the morale of the young footballers by providing them a platform to express their love for this game and showcase their talent in true spirit of the game, but also to extend a helping hand in aid of the earth quake victims of Nepal. The matches would be held at Ram Lila Ground, CIT Road, from 20th May to 23rd May 2015.
When Kolkata felt the tremors on April 25th & again on May 12th 2015, we rushed out of our homes, offices, called up our near & dear ones to know about their well being, fear gripped us, if this be our reaction here, we can understand the apathy of the people of Nepal where thousands have perished many have lost their near & dear ones, many have been rendered homeless, specially the elderly & children are suffering the most. in this time of natural catastrophe which struck the people of Nepal.
Let’s all come together in aid of the earthquake victims of Nepal.
