Take One - the story of the rise of a fallen woman, is all set to take the theaters by storm!
irector Mainak Bhaumik’s upcoming venture TAKE ONE has already created a lot of ripples. And with the mercury level rising, the heat of curiosity has also reached a different level since the release of the trailer.
On the threshold of the rising curiosity, team TAKE ONE decided to address the press, and tackle a few probing questions.
TAKE ONE has a dedicated team comprising of the veteran Arindam Sil, Swastika Mukherjee, Anwesha Mukherjee, Rahul Banerjee and Sreyashi Mukherjee, along with music composer Mayookh Bhaumik, stylist Ajopa Mukherjee and producer Firdausul Hasan, all of who were present at the press conference.
TAKE ONE narrates the story of a modern Indian woman, an actress who plays the Hindu mythological character Sita. Her sexual indiscretions land her amidst a cruel and crucifying judgemental society. But unlike Sita, who was forced by society into exile, the actress rejects the verdict of the hypocritical society, and withdraws voluntarily into her private exile.
“We say that we are adults. But have we grown up enough to deal with the adult issues? ,” asked Arindam Sil, who plays a director in the film.
The captain of the ship, Mainak Bhaumik was cool and composed around his team, as he explained how he felt blessed to have a family-like team, who were all proud to be a part of this venture. "A lot of heart went into the making of this film. It felt like every one of us owned the film," added the director.
In case anyone is wondering, the boy who accompanied Swastika in the steamy scenes is not a Bengali or a Kolkatan, he is Ricky Nandal, a Delhi based Model turned Actor, who is debuting with this film in Bengali Cinema.
The hype is rising. The film releases next week.
