Srijit Mukherjee's "Chatushkon" gets delayed, sees full cast change!
irector Srijit Mukherjee has been quite the hot property of Tollywood in the recent past. Now in an unprecedented move he had announced his film "Chatushkon" starring four of the premier directors from Tollywood, having donned their actor's cap.
The film initially planned with Aparna Sen, Anjan Dutt, Goutam Ghosh and Kaushik Ganguly as the main cast has now come to a sudden halt!
Our Little Birdie has exclusive information that it was Anjan Dutt, who backed out of “Chatushkon” first. Quite predictably the rest of the cast to fell out of place from the initial plan and now we await complete new cast for this project by Srijit.
Aparna Sen was due to be back from USA for this project and shooting was supposed to begin from 6th of December but due to unforeseen circumstances the film is, for the time being - shelved.
"It is true that Srijit Mukherjee has to undergo another surgery and will not be physically fit to take up the Director's mantle. However this is not the only reason why Chatushkon has been delayed!" the source confirmed.
Rumors are rife that the film, whenever it is resurrected, may now see Prosenjit Chatterjee in the lead. It certainly comes across that the production house believes more in the Srijit-Prosenjit duo, which has given hits like Autograph, Baishe Srabon, Mishawr Rahasya and the soon-to-release: Jaatishawr.
Here's hoping the film is revived soon!
