On the sets of ‘Buno Haansh’
ach time we see an actor on screen or in the newspaper, we immediately associate him or her with the glamour and popularity they enjoy and tend to overlook the hard work they put in to achieve that.
Starting right from the tedious workout schedules in the morning, strict diet regimes during hungry hours to the prolonged , tireless shoots throughout the day, it is just like any other job where one has to perform to gain immunity in the game of ‘survival of the fittest’.
Our Little Birdie stopped by at the sets of Anirudhha Roy Choudhury’s next, “Buno Haansh” to catch superstar Dev and Tanushree burning some elbow grease to perfect every take! The film is an adaptation of Samaresh Majumder’s novel by the same name and as the director likes to call it, it’s a ‘social thriller’, quite different from the film genres attempted by Anirudhha before.
We reached the sets located in a posh New Alipore residence which seemed like a well-maintained ancestral house of a Bengali family with the walls of the stair-cases adorned with photographs with eminent personalities like Nehru and the like! On reaching the floor where the scene was being shot, we were welcomed by the director himself sitting in front of a television monitor flanked by Sohag Sen (in charge of grooming of the actors) and several technicians.
The room was being set up for the climax scene but the actors were missing! We didn’t have to wait long till Dev entered the sets looking completely de-glam much unlike his usual star appearance!! As the voice of the director was heard saying, “Action!”, Dev who was otherwise in a jovial mood, strumming a guitar or pulling Sohag Sen’s leg by calling her “Sexy!”, slipped into the skin of his character, ‘Amal’ that looked pretty confused and serious!
Then came Tanushree aka Rijula’s (as Anirudhha prefers calling the actors by the name of their on-screen characters) turn to face the camera looking a pretty sight in shorts, black top and signature sensuous, wet curls.
In a scene of Dev and Tanushree together, Anirudhha was heard praising the duo who are rarely seen in art-house films or adaptations, by saying that,”Jei drama ta dorkar, setar feel ta besh pachhi!”
The whole team will be moving to Mumbai this week to shoot the next leg of the film there.
We wish Tony and the entire team of ‘Buno Haansh’ which also stars Srabanti, Gargi Roy Choudhury, Moonmoon Sen, Raima and Arindam Sil all the success! The film is expected to hit the theatres in April next year.
