Dev celebrates the success of 'Chander Pahar' with his fans
ith the approach of 2014 in another few hours, it’s celebration time around the world.
Such was the mood at Rambrambha Sanyal Smriti Sadan when Kolkata’s young heart-throb Dev took over, with several charged up fans cheering their hearts out for their hero.
Although ‘Shankar Roy Chowdhury’ reflects a larger than life character from Bibhutibushan Bandyopadhyay’s novel ‘Chander Pahar’, the man playing Shankar has risen up to every challenge and could do nothing wrong at this juncture of his life when he’s basking in the glory of the grand success of his film – Chander Pahar.
Organised by DTS, ‘An Evening with Shankar’ saw Dev obliging to all the heartwarming requests and set his die-hard fans on a frenzy with his subtle moves on stage. It was a real treat for all the young girls present at the event who had a rare opportunity to indulge into a chit chat with their reel life hero with music, dance, audio-visual presentations and the Dev-special cake to follow.
“The character of ‘Shankar’ itself was more challenging than the African lion or the black mamba. I have a long way to go from here on, and I feel that this is only the beginning,” said Dev, thanking everyone for their wonderful support and wishing them a Very Happy New Year as he thoroughly enjoyed the moment with all the members from his fan club and many more that were present to make it a memorable evening.
